CEDRED started its work in northern Kenya in 1999 focusing on poverty eradication, women empowerment, health issues, peace and security matters, gender mainstreaming, environment, governance, water, food security issues and all matters affecting community development. Over the years CEDRED has worked closely with CBOs, community leaders and various grassroots organizations. Northern Kenya enjoys partnership with CEDRED partners because of its unique location and challenges many of which have not been addressed by development actors. CEDRED has benefited has benefited from volunteers and good will of local leaders who have provided tremendous amount of time and resources to ensure that CEDRED activities succeed. We would like to ask partners, development activists who visit our website to partner with us in any of the thematic areas we are dealing with in northern Kenya.
